Crer is one of the players added to the Argentinean roster

Head coach Marcelo Mendez continues to add players to Argentina’s roster ahead of the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Nations League as ten athletes joined the group that’s working in Buenos Aires ahead of the international season.

The most recent additions include players who were competing overseas in the 2020-2021 club season in setters Nicolas Uriarte, Matias Sanchez and Matias Giraudo, opposite Federico Pereyra, outside hitters Jan Martinez and Luciano Palonsky and middle blockers Pablo Crer, Martin Ramos, Agustin Loser and Nicolas Zerba.

The players have started training on Monday and joined a group of 18 athletes that had been previously called up and included star outside hitter Facundo Conte, opposite Bruno Lima and outside hitter Cristian Poglajen.

Other important members of the Argentinean national team, such as setter Luciano de Cecco, libero Santiago Danani, middle blocker Sebastian Sole and outside hitters Nicolas Bruno, Ezequiel Palacios and Nicolas Mendez, should be called over the next few weeks.

Women's team adds 11 players

The country’s women’s national team, which as the men will compete at the Tokyo Olympics, has also brought new players to work as 11 athletes were added to the young group that head coach Hernan Ferraro was working with during the last weeks.

The list has setters Vicky Mayer, Azul Benitez and Sabrina Germanier, opposite Erika Mercado, outside hitters Daniela Bulaich, Mariangeles Cossar and Eugenia Nosach middle blockers Julieta Lazcano, Brenda Graff and Candelaria Herrera and libero Tatiana Rizzo.
